About the Community Hospice Foundation
As a charitable wing of Community Hospice, the Community Hospice Foundation raises funds to support the crusade against life-limiting conditions by contributing to community awareness and education; scholarships and research; and programs that engage in the practical ministry of indigent care while honoring those we serve and memorializing those for whom we have cared.
Community Hospice Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. The Foundation is staffed by professionals and is governed by a volunteer board of trustees, who establish yearly funding priorities and long-term strategic goals for growth.
The foundation supports and contributes throughout the Carolinas in regions where Community Hospice provides care.
Who Does the Community Hospice Foundation Support?
The Community Hospice Foundation helps patients suffering with a terminal illness. Families and patients often have needs that Medicare and other sources do not cover. In many cases, once all aggressive treatment options have been exhausted, families find themselves with significant financial burdens and are suddenly placed in the position of going without necessities. Every family has different needs, but often we are called on to help with mortgage payments/rent, electric, gas, oil or water bills and assist with funeral costs.
